CASA LAWA X LUPO
10–11.11.2023 FOOD RESIDENCY FROM SICILY TO WARSAW
In November at LUPO, we launched a series of culinary residencies with one clear goal: to show that Italian cuisine is not only about recipes, but above all about people, places, and stories. The first edition was opened by Lukas Lewandowski, founder of the Sicilian project Casa Lawa.
CASA LAWA – THE SICILIAN PHILOSOPHY OF HOSPITALITY
@casalawa is a boutique hotel located at the foot of Mount Etna — a place where design, food, and everyday life come together into one cohesive narrative. The project is created by Lukas, known as @lukasfrompoland — a multi-talented personality with a distinctive style and a passion for cooking and hosting in a truly Italian spirit.
SICILY IN WARSAW, IN AUTUMN
During the residency, we focused on breakfasts, with Sicilian lemons ripening in autumn as the central theme. Lukas brought over 100 kg of organic fruit to LUPO, which we combined with seasonal Polish products and ingredients he misses while living in Italy.
CASA LAWA RESIDENCY MENU:
The CASA LAWA x LUPO menu was built around lemons appearing in various forms and interpretations. From savoury accents in maritozzo and homemade bread, through an orange-lemon olive oil cake, to brioche con gelato – a Sicilian brioche with lemon ice cream. The experience was completed by Casa Lawa granola with lemon marmalade.
